There are a lot of different public service announcements out there on yielding to emergency vehicles running lights and sirens, and I’ve posted one or two before on this blog, but this one from the Tuscaloosa Fire and Rescue Service actually made me laugh out loud and is by far the funniest.
This is a very good reminder to all drivers. I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve seen people disregard the sirens and lights. When I was in my car accident, they sent the ambulance to me and the other lady in the accident. We both were uninjured and immediately signed release forms. I wasn’t about to tie up the ambulance and paramedics for me, when someone else might really need it. Especially since I was uninjured. I only wish people would show the same courtesy.
That “that’s what she said!” line is so awkward and misplaced… I love it!
