Structure fire. An older woman is sitting in a chair on the sidewalk several houses down, absolutely hysterical, and surrounded by other absolutely hysterical people.
“SHE NEEDS AN AMBULANCE!”
She wasn’t even in the burning structure; she just lives next to it. And I understand that it’s very upsetting to see your home threatened as an exposure, but mass hysteria is not helpful.
Ambulance arrives. Gurney rolls up.
“I don’t want to go!”
“I believe all of you were screaming something about an ambulance? Well, it’s here. Get on the gurney.”
