Protect what’s important

In this world, even if it sounds unfair, your reputation really does precede you. Whether you are a “lazy dumbshit” or a “good guy to work with” as determined by your co-workers, that assessment is usually remarkably accurate. I’m not sure if young people don’t understand this, or they’re just to cool to care, but they sure don’t make it easy on themselves in this regard.

It only takes one stupid move to ruin the good reputation you built over years of good work.
