Real-life example

We’re in a university classroom for an instructor having an anxiety attack while teaching class. Typical bullshit.

I look up at the whiteboard. Because this call is absolutely stupid.

Anxiety, hyperventilation… wait a second…

She was giving a class about anxiety and she started having an anxiety attack!

  1. As usual, expressing an alarming amount condescension and disrespect for those with mental health issues in general and anxiety disorders in particular. Glad to know in your limited experience, you’ve entirely disproved the existence of such illnesses. The next time I personally experience the paralyzing fear associate with a panic attack, I’ll think back to this reassuring post and remember that it’s all in my head.

  2. That just makes her a subject matter expert. It also reminds me of the person who called 9-1-1 from the airport because the flight had given her a sinus headache.

Yes a 9-1-1 call for a sinus headache. No, I didn’t put her on the stretcher, but I did put her luggage on the stretcher.

    No doubt Shady will disapprove.
